It’s a busy weekend for arguably the biggest rapper in the known universe, Kanye West. Not only did his sixth studio album Yeezus leak overnight, but K.Wizzle is revealing more tracks via projections on buildings tonight, with 2 different locations you can hit up in Melbourne to watch the screenings.
Yeezus has turned up 3 days ahead of schedule, sparking rumours of a deliberate leak by Mr West’s label but eliciting generally positive reviews from the punters out there in the Twitterverse. The early reveal has also exposed some lyrical greatness from Yeezy in the form of I Am A God, which we now know contains the line “Hurry up with my damn croissants”. Now, that’s something we can all relate to.
Ye will also be debuting new material in Melbourne tonight, much like he did with the New Slaves video last month. You can catch the projections both on the corner of Flinders and Sidderley St in the southern end of the CBD at 8:30 – 9:30pm and the corner of Franklin and Queen St to the north from 10:30 – 11:30pm.
Yeezus is officially released on 18th June.
