Kings Of Leon Release New Song ‘Wait For Me’ Alongside ‘Super Soaker’ Video Clip

Kings Of Leon have hooked fans up something vicious today with the release of not just the official visuals to compliment previous single Super Soaker, but also a previously unheard track from their upcoming album Mechanical Bull titled Wait For Me.

By the sounds of things, Wait For Me is to Mechanical Bull what Use Somebody was to Only By The Night. The sombre affair sees the band approach the ballad side of things for their new album and, considering how successful a Kings Of Leon ballad usually is, good on ’em. The tale of heartache couldn’t be more opposite to what we’ve previously heard off the album. The band have put the instrumentals in the background where they echo atmospherically underneath Caleb Followill’s vocals.

The Super Soaker video clip once again sees KoL playing things safe. Filmed through some sort of mild filter (Sierra, perhaps?), the band perform with brief moments of a sub plot, it’s by no means revolutionary but from what we’ve seen so far in Mechanical Bull, KoL don’t seem to be too fussed about that.
