Listen: Snoop Dogg Releases Reggae Track, Changes Name To ‘Snoop Lion’

Written by Kiel Egging on July 22, 2012

Snoop Dogg has gone reggae – teaming up with Diplo to release his new single La La La.

And, in releasing the track, Snoop has changed his name as well.  Yep, he’s ditched the ‘Dogg’ and is now under a new moniker – Snoop Lion.

According to NME, Snoop is releasing an album full of reggae tunes later this year. The album, titled Reincarnated, will be produced by Diplo, who also goes by the name Major Lazer.

Snoop told the magazine earlier this year that he would be re-born on his new album – and it certainly sounds and looks like he’s living up to his words.

Reincarnated will be Snoop’s 12th studio album – and the first since his last record, Doggumentary, which came out in March last year.
