It’s hard to imagine how the four people in this video thought their attempt at a Harlem Shake would end well. It’s almost as though they’ve never watched Funniest Home Videos, for if they had they would have realised they were in the perfect setting for things to go wrong. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for us, things go spectacularly wrong.
What would have to be the most dismal attempt at a Harlem Shake has ended with one of the participants falling backwards into a raging fire pit. The dancing itself is so lame it’s almost a struggle to make it through the brief clip, but the final moments are extraordinarily worthwhile. That dude is going to be in a lot of pain.
Up until now, the Harlem Shake has been fairly harmless albeit incredibly annoying. The fad was well and truly on its way out and this clip will hopefully serve to drive the final nail in the coffin. Let’s hope this serves as a wake-up call to remind us of how things can go wrong when you attempt to entertain the internet. Hopefully we get a few weeks of peace before the next viral invasion.
