Mitch Lucker Laid To Rest, Drink Driving Claims Disputed ‘It Was In A Fit Of Rage’

Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker has been laid to rest overnight in a ceremony heavily populated by family, and other loved ones. Thus concludes a heartbreaking saga for fans all over the world.

Bandmate Dan Kenny was present at the funeral, and tweeted out to fans ensuring all that Mitch indeed loved them back. Also at the ceremony was Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen, who tweeted out a pic of the funeral program. The band has since initiated a donation service to help relieve some of the financial stress now placed on the family he is survived by. Any and all-sized donations are welcome; those who donate $20 or more will receive a commemorative T-shirt, according to Blabbermouth.

In a truly gut-wrenching story, Lucker died shortly after colliding with a street pole while riding his motorbike in an intoxicated state. According to a statement made by his wife at a candle-lit vigil, she pleaded with the musician not to go, but he had been battling a drinking problem and went out anyway.

The Sumerian records top dog has, however, disagreed with claims that he crashed because he was drunk, stating that he left the house and hopped on his bike in a fit of rage, and had a cluttered, angry head that caused him to crash.
