Morrissey Hospitalised With Bleeding Ulcer

Morrissey has been hospitalised in Royal Oak, Michigan, after being diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer. As reported by Consequence Of Sound, Morrissey was hospitalised over the weekend with what was first thought to be a kidney infection.

Although Morrissey is expected to make a full recovery, six dates on his current US tour have been postponed. Morrissey will resume his tour on Saturday, 9th February in Las Vegas and make up the postponed shows at a later date.

In other Morrissey-related news, The Smiths are rumoured to reform for and play Glastonbury Festival later this year. The rumours of Morrissey and Johnny Marr joining forces once again seemingly do the rounds at least a couple times a year.

Recently, former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce had a dream that The Smiths agreed to a reunion tour. As reported by The Sun, Joyce said he thinks that an agreement could be reached between all four members.

“I actually had a dream that Morrissey, Johnny, Andy (Rourke) and me were all in the same room and we actually agreed to do a tour,” revealed Joyce. “Morrissey said, ‘What song shall we open with?’ and we replied in unison, ‘Hand In Glove!’. That’s what the show should open with. Then I woke up laughing.”
