Mum @ Worldbar, Friday 10th September

Written by John Ritchie on September 6, 2010

Spring has sprung and MUM has sung that this Friday will be one for the young.

THE FROWNING CLOUDS who sound like they were meant to be featured  on The Boat That Rocked soundtrack are up from Geelong and will be headlining the back room with their super fun 60s garage rock.

They will be joined by THE DEMON PARADEs epic 80s northern English vibe, YOUNG REVELRY from Perth and September residents ARC ARCHER & THE CARNIVAL OF SOULS.

Up four flights of stairs and through a secret bookshelf doorway THE CAIROS from Brisbane will be testing out their set before taking the stage at Parklife later this month. Also upstairs will be THE WOODS who have driven nearly 2000km just for this gig and THE WATT RIOT will show off their in your face rock n roll.

While doing some spring cleaning we found party DJs including, Sister Jane DJs, Biff! Bang! Pow! DJs with The Go-Gettes (go-go dancers) and residents Walkie Talkie, Animal Chin, Vivienne Kingswood, Lloyd, 16 Tacos, FiFidoesDiDi, 10th Avenue, Jack Shit & Swim Team DJs.

Oh and if you didn’t know World Bar has ditched the pokies and made the side room another bar with some booth seating so you have a place to chill out.

MUM Every Friday The World Bar Kings Cross.
