DIY reports on an interview White gave with British magazine Q, he said,”I won’t join another band again. Three’s enough for one lifetime. If I can’t say it in any of these bands, then I’ll say it by myself.”

The prospect of a White solo album has been floated since the White Stripes ceased to exist a the beginning of February, with the likelihood being that it might be very good. In the mean time, White has recorded a track with Jay-Z, guests on the album Rome by  Dangermouse & Daniel Luppi, and is overseeing matters with his record label, Third Man Records.
