Noel Gallagher Will Tour Australia In 2016

Noel Gallagher has confirmed plans to tour Australia next year.

While the former Oasis superstar hasn’t let slip any exact tour dates, he has revealed that his world tour itinerary for the next 12 months will bring him to our shores in 2016.

Speaking with NME, Gallagher confessed that he’s bracing for a busy year ahead.

“Next year I go round the world again,” he said. “I go to South America and Australia and South-East Asia and there’s rumours of going back to America… So I’m fucking full-on, flat-out busy.”

During the interview, the outspoken English singer-songwriter also dropped the shocker that he actually thought Kanye West’s headlining set at Glastonbury was good (well, sort-of).

“I thought for half an hour it was fucking outrageous. It looked amazing on my iPad, I have to say, for 30 minutes I thought, ‘Wow, this is truly fucking amazing’,” he said.

“Then, like most hip-hop gigs, after 45 minutes you’re going, ‘I want something else now’. But for half an hour it was as good as it gets.”

That’s basically a five-star review coming from Noel Gallagher.

The singer, who released his second solo album Chasing Yesterday last year, also used the interview to praise Florence + The Machine’s headlining performance at Glasto, and put his own hand up to headline next year’s event.
