Sydney’s renowned Cargo Bar will be opening its doors for another round of NYE On The Harbour this year and today sees the first lineup announcement for the 2013 edition, with another round of artists expected to be added.
The main attraction for the party will be guaranteed good-time guys Art Vs Science. The trio have been away for a while, with Jim Finn off doing his Vydamo thang, but after scoring two spots on triple j‘s Hottest 100 the outfit couldn’t stay gone for too long, returning for their first headline show in over a year.
The unstoppable force that is Alison Wonderland has locked in a DJ set for the evening, no doubt planning to unleash her recent debut single Get Ready, considering that her partners in crime Fishing will also be performing.
In-demand exports Van She will be belting out their party anthems as well, Bag Raiders will also be making their triumphant return to Aussie stages, and Gold Fields will be kicking things off with their multi-drummer, DF-killer tendencies that blew minds during a run of sold-out national tour dates.
The show will be going down right on Cockle Bay at King St Wharf – any closer to the water and you’d be in it – so you can expect this soiree to sell out fast, especially with more acts to be announced in the near future.
