Oh Mercy Announce National Tour

Oh Mercy are just under a month off releasing their fourth album When We Talk About Love and soon they’ll be heading out on a national tour to show it off.

The Aussie band led by Alexander Gow will embark on a seven-date tour of the country covering every state, bar Tasmania.

When We Talk About Love comes three years after the release of Oh Mercy’s third album, Deep Heat, and also marks a whole new lineup. Gow recorded the new album by himself and then took to Facebook to announce, “I have decided to put a new live band together.”

“A new album, a couple of years past – I look forward to the change,” he wrote.

The album was mostly written in America where Gow spent the last travelling and living. In a blog post, he revealed that he wrote 45 demoes for the album, eventually nailing it down to 12 for the LP.

The tour is set to start in Melbourne on 22nd August and will more than likely see Oh Mercy heavily showcasing the new album alongside a few old favourites.

On top of this tour the band will also be heading to Byron Bay for Splendour In The Grass in July.
