Panic! At The Disco have released another single and video, This Is Gospel, from their forthcoming studio album Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die, and it’s become clear that this whole Fall Out Boy similarity thing is going to be a running theme.
This Is Gospel is the second track to be given the video treatment from P!ATD’s next record, and the parallels with FOB now extend to the band’s visuals also. The decision to depict frontman Brendon Urie under attack is sure to draw comparisons to Fall Out Boy’s latest series of videos.
Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die marks the first return to the studio for the band in some time. Now a fully functional 3-piece, the band teamed up with Fall Out Boy collaborator Butch Walker to produce the record, bringing those similarities into sharp focus with lead single Miss Jackson.
The album has an Australian street date of Friday, 4th October. So far, no word on any tours for Australia, though considering Fall Out Boy are coming here twice in a year an announcement is surely imminent.
