Defunct Aussie rockers Powderfinger are sharing previously unreleased recordings as part of a 20th anniversary rerelease of their third album Internationalist, which first arrived on this day in 1998.
Set for release on Friday, 12th October, the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition will include the original 13-track album, as well as all B-sides from the album, previously unreleased demos and the never-before-heard track ‘Feels Like Something’, which you can stream below.
The release will also include a triple j Live At The Wireless performance from October 1998, which has never been commercially available before.
The Deluxe Edition will be available in digital, 2LP purple vinyl (with new liner notes from the band, unseen photos and memorabilia) and 2CD editions. You can read the full tracklist down below, and check out the pre-orders on the Powderfinger website.
Internationalist was produced by Nick DiDia and recorded at Melbourne’s Sing Sing studios, and features songs like ‘The Day You Come’, ‘Don’t Wanna Be Left Out’, ‘Passenger’ and ‘Already Gone’.
The album won ARIA Awards for Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Cover Art and Single of the Year in 1999.
Powderfinger disbanded in November 2010 after seven studio albums, but reunited briefly at Splendour In The Grass last year.
