Puscifer To Release 2-Hour Live Concert & Sketch Comedy DVD ‘What Is…Puscifer’

The Maynard James Keenan-led outfit Puscifer have announced they will be trying their hand at comedy with news of a forthcoming DVD from the band containing 2-hours of live footage intercut with a bunch of skits. If this concept has your heard hurting from too much WTF, well, then, their plan is working.

As well as the band members, What Is…Puscifer will also feature guest appearances from characters that have in one way or another worked with the band. For example Major Douche, the army Major who informed the world of Puscfier’s first gigs, as well as Billy D and the fan favourite Hildy.

Speaking on the release, Keenan explained:

“Being surrounded by so many talented and creative people is an endless source of inspiration, this film only scratches the surface of how deep our proverbial rabbit hole goes. ‘What Is… Puscifer’ is meant to conjure as many questions as it answers.”

Those who have been fortunate enough to catch a live performance from Puscifer will know that the band is constantly reshaping their stage presence, with a strong emphasis on production and theatrics, so maybe comedy is the next logical step.

Keenan featured on the podcast of now fellow comedian Marc Maron recently where he fessed up to actually having a hand with the forthcoming Tool album, of all things.

In the coming days, Puscifer will also be releasing the remix album All Re-Mixed Up which is a track-for-track mix up of their sophomore album Conditions Of My Parole.
