All the hype surrounding Rage Against the Machine may finally have come to a head. The band have announced today that in partnership with Sony Legacy, they will be handing down to fans a deluxe 20th anniversary release of their self-titled debut, with a whole lotta added goodies.
The release comes with a few different options, depending on how much RATM goodness you’d like to receive, such as the Deluxe Box Set, which comes with two CDs, two DVDs, one 12″ 180gm vinyl LP, one 40 page booklet and two-sided poster, or the another option of the Special Edition with two CDs and a bonus DVD featuring six tracks. There is also just a plain old no frills option where fans will be able to get their hands on a CD version with three bonus tracks and a 12″ 180gm vinyl edition on a picture disc or as a remastered reproduction of the original LP.
The first CD will be the self-titled album from 1991 fit with B-sides, while the 2nd CD will contain a whole heap of RATM demos, which, according to NME, the band sold back in 1991 at their early gigs for $5 a pop. As for the DVDs, one will feature footage from the band’s free gig at Finsbury Park and DVD #2 will hold a selection of live clips as well as all the music videos. Pretty dope.
