Looks like it won’t be long before Du Hast new Rammstein! The German industrial metal legends are officially back in the studio, recording the long-awaited follow-up to their 2009 album Liebe Ist Für Alle Da.
The flame-throwing, dildo-wielding riff crushers signalled the end of their brief hiatus by posting a photo from the recording room on their official Facebook page, along with the caption, “Rammstein: Back On!”

Frontman Till Lindemann previously confirmed that the band would be hitting the studio to work on their first new material in six years, telling RockSverige.se (via Blabbermouth): “Rammstein gets together again in September and we have to look for a new rehearsal room. We used to play in this old and famous club, the Knaack club, but they closed it down because of neighbors and some bullshit, so we have to find something new.”
In related news, Rammstein have also just released performance footage of Benzin from their upcoming Rammstein: In Amerika live DVD, which you can check out below.
Meanwhile, the band haven’t played live since their performance at the 2013 Wacken festival, and haven’t graced an Australian stage together since the 2011 Big Day Out.
Unfortunately, the band has already been ruled out of Soundwave 2016, but we’re keeping our flaming dildos crossed that this new album in the works means they’ll be back for a visit some time very soon!
