As we reported earlier, a sneaky little Perth date on the bottom of The Black Keys Australian tour schedule labelled the return of one of Perth’s most popular live music events, Rock-It Festival.
The last time we heard from Rock-It was back in 2009, where the end was closed off with a performance from headliners Kings of Leon, and past events had acts of a similar tier, including Green Day, Oasis, and Foo Fighters. The event even lasted after running on double speed and previously featuring twice in the same 12-month cycle.
So we know The Black Keys will be performing, and today the full lineup has been announced. Joining The Black Keys will be a solid rock-infested lineup, featuring the likes of John Butler Trio and Birds of Tokyo as main acts with artists such as The Panics, Lanie Lane and Last Dinosaurs aptly placed for main support.
Take a goosey gander at the full lineup below. Perth fans have a great day ahead of them with the motto of the event standing strong since their inception in 1999: “Easy to pee, easy to see, easy to hear and easy for beer”. Such a great business model!
The big day will take place at its original home, Joondalup Arena of course, in Perth on Sunday, 28th October.
