There Are A Stack Of Special Guests Heading To triple j’s One Night Stand

UPDATE 10/03/16, 4.39PM: The location for the 2016 One Night Stand has been revealed.

Boy & Bear, Alison Wonderland and Urthboy have already been announced on the lineup for triple j’s One Night Stand but they’re set to be joined by a stellar cast of Aussie artists.

Each act will bring a collection of other artists onto stage with them, which will no doubt make for some pretty special, one of a kind performances.

Alison Wonderland is set to take to the stage with Benjamin Joseph from SAFIA, Patience Hodgson from The Grates, BRAVE and newcomer Jess Kent. Both BRAVE and Joseph featured on Wonderland’s debut LP Run but it’s unknown as to what she’ll unveil with Hodgson and Kent.

Meanwhile, Urthboy is bringing along Bertie Blackman, Sampa The Great and Kira Puru. Blackman featured on Urthboy’s Long Loud Hours which nabbed number 33 in this year’s Hottest 100 while Sampa The Great appears on his latest tune Second Heartbeat.

Last but not least, Boy & Bear will be joined on stage by Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning for at least one song. Boy & Bear have long been compared to a young Powderfinger so the pairing is a natural fit.

One Night Stand will go down Saturday 9th April. The location hasn’t been announced yet but it will be announced later today, so stay tuned. So far we know the place is 400km from the nearest capital city and has a population of less than 40,000.
