The full lineup for Illawarra’s first annual boutique music and arts festival, The Farmer & The Owl, has been announced, offering antipodean music fans the chance to see an epic lineup including The Drones, Dappled Cities, The Laurels, Glass Towers, Surf City and many, many more!
Set to take over the University of Wollongong on Saturday, 23rd November, organisers are calling the inaugural The Farmer & The Owl event “a new era in the Australian festival market and Illawarra music scene.” A look at the mega lineup will help you understand why.
Critically-acclaimed art-garage rockers The Drones head a bill that also includes the likes of the beloved Dappled Cities, neo-psychedelic luminaries The Laurels, the rising star of Glass Towers, and New Zealand space-rock ensemble Surf City, just to name a few.
The latest additions to the lineup include The New Christs, Hockey Dad, Blackie from legendary Aus-punk group The Hard-Ons, Lyall Moloney, Jack & Elmo, and Shelley May Evans who’ll be taking to the chilled acoustic stage.
2013 has been a tumultuous year for the Australian festival market and The Farmer & The Owl organisers are looking to subvert that trend, offering punters a niche line-up and “a complimentary focus on visual art,” with a view to appealing to a more “culturally hungry” audience.
To experience the meticulously-curated lineup spread over four stages, as well as great food, drinks, art and an indie label market, get your tickets for The Farmer & The Owl now. Tix are priced at $55 + bf, via OzTix, Music Farmers and University of Wollongong Box Office.
