Triple J’s Ben & Liam Just Annihilated Triple M With This Hysterically Accurate Pisstake

A long time ago (well, a few days ago) in a galaxy far, far away (actually just in Sydney TBH) tensions between the country’s national youth broadcaster and ya dads’ fave commercial station were at boiling point after the latter decided to take an unprovoked dig…

Yep. Triple M unwisely decided to start a pisstake battle with triple j and ~spoiler alert ~ they fkn lost, SPECTACULARLY.

ICYMI: Triple M launched a sneak-assault on their ABC-based nemesis by firing at them with a half-arsed spoof. In a nutshell, they lampooned the station’s penchant for playing bands that push genre boundaries, and for apparently loving themselves some party druuuuuuuuuuugs.

TBH it probably elicited a few LOLs from your high-vis-wearing uncle, but mostly just smacked of old-man-yells-at-cloud-ism.

Needless to say, the Js weren’t gonna take that shit lying down. And some unlikely heroes in the form of freshman brekkie hosts Ben and Liam rose to the occasion like a pair of kickass LOL-jedis to do the Ms what the deathstar did to Alderaan.

They fkn annihilated them with a hysterically accurate pisstake dubbed Zipper & The Shit Stick, and not only was it bang-on the money, they also scored extra points for a) top-shelf Damo & Darren style animation and b) fiercely denying the drug-loving accusations before throwing to the Dune Rats’ “family-friendly modern classic” ‘Scott Green’ #cheekykents

Needless to say, the Dunies were frothing on it.

Meanwhile, it seems this hilarious vengeance stunt has seen Ben and Liam’s initially shaky stock finally start to rise, with fans officially conceding they’ve been won over by the radio galaxy’s newest heroes:
