It’s getting to that golden time of the year when we can get excited about Unify Gathering without being overbearing to all of those around us. Today, organisers have released the official set times for the event, as well as a number of other tasty morsels to get you salivating.
Ticket-holders and soon-to-be ticket holders will be stoked to know the event will be largely clash free, which is no easy feat considering just how much local and international talent has been injected into the event. However, the team have stuck to the single stage setup, spreading the love out over two gloriously heavy days.
Those paying attention will notice a lack of bands confirmed for the Sunday. Unify have explained the move, saying that Sunday attendance in previous years has been less than stellar, and this year they’ll instead be opting for a number of DJ sets and chilled acoustic sets from bands already on the bill — no doubt some much needed recouping time.
Earlier in the week, the event announced its official ambassador/dog, Arnold Logemann. Arnold will appear on the official Unify merch, and no doubt keep a stern eye on things through out the events proceedings. Of the announcement, Arnold commented, “Woof.”
What’s more, next year’s Unify lineup will be immortalised via an official compilation. The two-disc release will feature the best and brightest from the festival’s lineup, giving punters the perfect opportunity to get their heads around who to see.
