Watch Audioslave Perform ‘Like A Stone’ In Honour Of Late Frontman Chris Cornell

Footage has emerged of the remaining members of Audioslave playing an instrumental version of the band’s 2002 track ‘Like A Stone’ in tribute to their late frontman Chris Cornell.

The vision was captured by Public Enemy‘s DJ Lord at a recent rehearsal for Prophets Of Rage — Tim Commerford, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk’s new project with Public Enemy and B-Real Of Cypress Hill.

The performance sees each of Chris Cornell’s bandmates get lost in the track, clearly still hurting from Cornell’s tragic death almost two weeks ago.

Nonetheless, they do an admirable job, performing an emotional-filled version of the classic track. Watch the gut-wrenching footage, below.

Since Chris Cornell’s untimely passing we’ve seen musicians and bands including Eddie Vedder, Guns N’ Roses, Corey Taylor and more perform tributes in honour of the Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple Of The Dog singer.

Prophets Of Rage confirmed earlier this year that they are currently working on their debut studio album with help from one of Rage Against The Machine’s longtime producers.
