Less than a day after revealing four massive new tracks from their forthcoming album Humanz, Gorillaz have performed live for the first time in five years.
The secret gig was went down overnight at Printworks in London; a location only disclosed to select who purchased their tickets via the official Gorillaz website.
Damon Albarn and co performed Humanz in full, joined by a slew of guest collaborators who have worked on the album including Danny Brown, Pusha T, Noel Gallagher, Kelela, De La Soul and Kali Uchis. Several of the live tracks were streamed live via the Gorillaz Facebook page.
They followed up Humanz with an encore of absolute classics; playing ‘Kids With Guns,’ ‘Feel Good Inc’ and ‘Clint Eastwood’ to their adoring fans.
Yesterday Gorillaz released four collaborative tracks including ‘Saturnz Barz’ (featuring Popcaan), ‘Andromeda’ (featuring D.R.A.M), ‘Ascension’ (featuring Vince Staples) and ‘We Got The Power’ (featuring Jehnny Beth).
Humanz is due to be released on Friday, 28th April.
