Watch Metallica Play ‘Hardwired’ For The First Time Live

This week Metallica announced their new album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct and now they’ve played the first single Hardwired live for the first time.

The band dropped the slamming new track during their headline set in Minneapolis and plenty of fans have uploaded footage of the debut.

While it’s the first time the band have played it to a large audience, the first time they played it together as a band in the same room was also this week.

“The song Hardwired, the first time we played that all in the same room was this Monday, so this is as fresh off the assembly line as rock and roll gets,” drummer Lars Ulrich told Fox 9.

“It’s been an intense week and we’re excited about launching the next chapter of Metallica’s career here in Minneapolis.”

Hardwired…To Self-Destruct
will be released on 18th November and to build anticipation they’ve released a trailer for the record that takes us on a journey through their past records.
