Wintercoats To Tour Off The Back Of New EP ‘Heartful’

Written by Sarah Bella on April 17, 2013

Melbourne multi-instrumentalist James Wallace, aka Wintercoats, releases his new EP Heartful tomorrow, and to celebrate he’s heading out on tour.

Wintercoats has been described as a one-man chamber pop orchestra, taking care of vocals, violin, viola, piano, programming and percussion all on his own. These tunes combine a ton of compositional talent with some serious pop sensibilities and the result is music that’s both fragile and grand.

It’s been a big year for Wintercoats, supporting both Beach House and Sarah Blasko on their Australian tours. He embarks on a run of live dates in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this month and next.

Heartful is out through Yes Please records and as a ‘name your price’ download via Bandcamp tomorrow. You can stream the whole thing on SoundCloud now.
