Wu-Tang Clan Tease Australian ’36 Chambers’ Announcement

UPDATE: Wu-Tang Clan Announce Australian ’36 Chambers’ 25th Anniversary Shows

ORIGINAL STORY: Hip-hop royalty Wu-Tang Clan have teased some sort of announcement for Australia on Twitter, so let the speculations run wild.

The group’s Twitter account posted a simple caption, reading ‘wutang x australia’, along with footage of the group’s logo projected all across the inside of the Sydney Opera House with their track ‘Bring da Ruckus’ playing in the background. The video ends with the caption ‘July 17, 2018’ and ‘Enter The 36 Chambers’.

Obviously a reference to the group’s iconic and influential debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), this – in the best possible case – could mean an Australian tour, perhaps celebrating that album’s 25th anniversary (coming up in November), including a show at the Sydney Opera House. But there’s been no confirmation of anything just yet.

However, this tweet does come after posters were seen all around the Sydney suburb of Newtown, with an image of Enter The Wu-Tang album cover alongside their logo and the date ‘17.7.18’. So, rest assured, something is definitely happening and we cannot fkn wait.

The last time the group toured here was back in 2016, in which they used similar teasing tactics before making that tour announcement. Fingers crossed, pals, fingers crossed.
