The Central Coast’s very own indie pop do-it-yourself’ers Sea Legs have today extended their lengthy east coast tour, and also released an energetic music video for their latest single, Christopher Strong.
The band have added a further six stops to their current touring itinerary, taking the tally up to 13 east coast shows, which will see them through from mid-November through to late-January. It’s a mammoth task the band are no doubt up for. What’s more, most of the group’s forthcoming shows are free of charge.
Sea Legs have also released a music video for Christoper Strong, shot exclusively in black & white. According to a press release, the DIY video “cost all but $25 to put together”, and they’ve done an excellent job of stretching every cent of it.
The song itself was inspired by Sea Legs’ frontman Byron Knight’s encounter with an elderly woman in the US in 1998, who turned out to be none other than Hollywood star Katharine Hepburn. Catch the video in full, below.
Christopher Strong is now available on iTunes, and is the second single taken from Sea Legs’ forthcoming second EP, currently slated for release in April 2015.
