Beach House Announce 2019 Australian Tour Dates

American dream pop duo Beach House have announced a string of Australian tour dates for 2019, in support of their latest album 7.

While the pair’s Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally were already slated for performances at Golden Plains and Perth Festival next year, they’ve now announced headline shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, taking place between February and March.

The duo will be joined by touring drummer James Barone for the shows. View all the tour dates and ticket details, below.

Speaking with Music Feeds earlier this year, Victoria Legrand said she felt “a weight” to 7, more so than some of the duo’s previous albums.

“You have songs like ‘Black Car’, ‘Woo’ and ‘Dark Spring’ that have this stylistic energy that I don’t think has really been present on our previous albums,” she said.

“You also have a song like ‘Girl of the Year’, which is really gushy, glamorous and romantic. That’s something I think we’ve always been capable of, but never quite on this scale.

“It’s things like that which make this album feel ‘bigger’, in a sense, than [2015’s] Depression Cherry. Definitely more than [2015’s] Thank Your Lucky Stars.”
