ORIGINAL STORY: Sydney’s silently thriving underground oasis of cheese, riffs and good vibes Frankies Pizza By The Slice is on the blower tickling our nethers with a mysterious secret gig going down tomorrow night, featuring “one of our time’s most influential guitarist / songwriters / producers”.
They’ve taken to Facebook to spruik the stealth set happening on Wednesday, 25th October in the bowels of the beloved Hunter Street dive bar, revealing only that the legend in question “has turned 70 this year”.
“To celebrate he is doing cool left of centre stuff including secret shows in RocknRoll hotspots around Planet Earth,” the venue’s big cheeses say on Facey.
“Tomorrow he will appear onstage at Frankie’s Pizza at 6pm with a backing band comprised of some of Australia’s most celebrated RocknRoll alumni.
“Free as always and right on the tail of our 4-6pm Happy Hour, now will everybody shut the fuck up about Sydney being dead?”
