Slipknot have launched their own brand of whiskey

If you can’t get enough Slipknot, soon you’ll be able to sip on Slipknot-branded whiskey.

Bands launching their own alcohol is all the rage, but while many go down the relatively safe track of brewing on a beer, less attempt the spirit route.

Following in the footsteps of Metallica, who they just so happen to be supporting on their 2019 Australia tour this October, Slipknot has announced their ‘No 9 Iowa Whiskey’.

As Metal Injection reports, it’s a collaborative effort between the band and Cedar Ridge Distillery.

“Slipknot and Cedar Ridge Distillery – two groups of people born and raised in Iowa, and committed to quality and hard work,” said Clown.

“We collaborated on No. 9 Whiskey, which in addition to Iowa corn, gets some extra spice from its rye content. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Live life, and always be safe.”

The whiskey is set to be available on Slipknot’s forthcoming North American tour, but it’s not yet known whether any whiskey will be heading to Australia with the band later in the year.
