Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Have Apparently Lobbied Trump To Help Free A$AP Rocky

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly asked the Trump administration to assist in the release of A$AP Rocky from custody in Sweden.

TMZ say they’ve heard from anonymous sources that Kanye had asked Kim to contact Trump’s son in law, Jared Kushner, who then took it to Trump himself.

TMZ say that the White House Urban Revitalisation Coalition’s Kareem Lamier and Darell Scott soon put Kushner in direct contact with A$AP Rocky’s management team. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo and the State Department are reportedly both actively working to secure the release of A$AP Rocky.

TMZ say there are now fears that A$AP Rocky may be in custody longer, beyond the three week mark, while prosecutors delay the decision. He was initially meant to be held for two weeks in pre-trial detention.

Rolling Stone say they’ve confirmed these reports with the anonymous source too. Rolling Stone say that Swedish authorities are expected to confirm whether they’re charging Rocky with assault or detaining him for longer today.

The Swedish Prosecution Authority have reportedly also launched a preliminary investigation into the two men who were seen following A$AP Rocky around in a released video before the alleged incident that spurred Rocky’s arrest. The two men who are unidentified are “suspected of molestation and assault”.

The video, posted by Rocky after his detainment showed the men following him before the alleged assault and hitting his security with a pair of headphones.

A$AP Rocky has received a lot of support from the hip hop and music communities. Tyga and Tyler the Creator have refused to play in Sweden again following the arrest. The change.org petition for his release has now hit 610,000 signatures.
