PREMIERE: King Coyote Unleash Rock N Roll Anthem ‘Coca Cola’

NSW rockers King Coyote are gearing up for the release of their upcoming EPand they’re kicking it all off with a brazen, classic, rock n roll banger that’s anything but sugary – ‘Coca Cola’.

It features crunchy riffs, intense percussion and biting lyrics that sees frontman Sunny Rowlands growl his way through his differences with his love interest.

Of the song, Rowlands says that the song is a reminder to himself to act on missteps and negative observations in relationships as opposed to letting it fester.

“This song is a bit of old time rock n roll, a throwback with our twist,” Rowlands said in a statement.

“Coca Cola was inspired by true love, about seeing the red flags and acting on it, before you lose too much time.”

‘Coca Cola’ is the first track taken from the band’s upcoming EP Wild, which Rowlands says was years in the making.

We’ve taken a bit of time with this EP, enjoying the road, the band bonding, the late nights, the long nights and all the in-between, helping us get the songs to the point that represents us truthfully as a band,” he says.

“It’s taken a couple of years, but it was worth the wait for us – it shows how far we’ve come and how far we can go.”

Listen to ‘Coca Cola’ below. It’s out everywhere on Thursday, 3rd October. The Wild EP drops Friday, 1st November.
