Elton John Announces Rising Aussie Artist As Support For Upcoming Farewell Tour

Sir Elton John is gearing up for his Yellow Brick Road Farewell Tour, which is kicking off later this month in Perth. Now, he’s announced his support act for his outdoor concerts will be Sydney artist, Tate Sheridan.

Interestingly, Tate Sheridan first supported Elton John when he was 23 years-old. It was on Elton John’s 2015 Aussie tour. Now, he’s doing it again for 22 of the 34 upcoming shows of the Farewell Tour.

“I’m thrilled to be opening for Sir Elton John once again, on his final Australian tour”, said Tate Sheridan.

“He was probably my biggest childhood hero and his music has been a huge inspiration. It all feels very surreal and I can’t wait to play alongside this musical legend later this month and into 2020!”

There are serious Elton vibes in Sheridan’s music — so it makes sense for him to be warming up the stage on the mostly sold out tour.

Sheridan released an EP with Victor Rufus called Documentation earlier this year.

“I’m ecstatic and humbled to continue to play for audiences across the globe. I plan to bring to my final tour the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades… It’s the most produced and fantastic show I’ve ever done. I want to go out with a bang,” Elton said.
