Bruce Springsteen Performed A Surprise, Two Hour Set In New Jersey This Weekend

Everyone’s favourite Boss, Bruce Springsteen, surprised a bunch of punters at New Jersey venue The Stone Pony over the weekend with a two hour set of his biggest hits.

The gig, which was put on to raise money for Boston College, is not the first of its king Springsteen has done at the venue. He has a long history with the The Stone Pony, as reported by Consequence Of Sound, and he’s played benefit gigs there since his rise to fame.

The concert drew on for two hours, and Rolling Stone reports that it’s the longest concert Springsteen has performed since the conclusion of his hit Broadway residency, Springsteen on Broadway.

His setlist featured many hits, like ‘Born To Run’, ‘Dancing In The Dark’ and an acoustic version of ‘Thunder Road’, but he also covered The Top Notes’ ‘Twist And Shout’ and Eddie Floyd’s ‘634-5789’ – just to name a few.

Check out footage of Springsteen performing ‘Thunder Road’, and the night’s full setlist’, below.
