Watch John Farnham Call Falls Festival Crowd “Pussies” For Not Singing AC/DC Loud Enough

Just when you think that the winner of “best 2019 headline” is completely locked in, John Farnham comes swooping in at the final second for an absolute corker.

Farnham is currently touring the country as a part of Falls Festival, and was actually one of the few acts to play the Lorne leg before it was ultimately cancelled due to fire threats.

It was at that Lorne leg that Farnham has gone a little bit viral, in one of the most quintessentially Australian things to have happened in music in recent memory – he called the crowd “pussies”, seemingly for not singing AC/DC loud enough.

For context, Farnham was covering fellow Aussie legends AC/DC’s hit ‘It’s A Long Way To The Top’ and, according to radio producer Leon Sjogren, the crowd weren’t singing loud enough for Farnham’s liking.

“Ah, you pussies!” Farnham said. Immortal words.

While the Lorne cancellation was devastating for a lot of people, stacks of artists pulled apparent miracles and set up a stack of last minute shows for punters, with all benefits going towards the country’s fire services.

In fact, the most recent numbers we have show Peking Duk raising a colossal $50,000.

Falls Festival will still go ahead in Byron Bay, Marion Bay and Fremantle.
