The 411:

After showcasing at BIGSOUND 2019, playing Unify Gathering 2020 and taking out the triple J Unearthed competition to open Download Festival’s 2020 Melbourne leg (which was sadly cancelled due to COVID-19), Melbourne concept act The Gloom in The Corner have returned with a brand new single dubbed ‘Violence’ and some big news.

They’ve put pen to paper with heavy music PR company Collision Course’s new label arm, with ‘Violence’ marking the first in a series of new standalone singles to be released under the new deal.

Co-produced by The Gloom and the Corner and Jamie Marinos (who also engineered the track) and mixed & mastered by Jeff Dunne, ‘Violence’ fleshes out the story of ‘The Glooms’, which the band have been telling across their EPs and releases to date, bringing to life the “demonic entity focused solely on causing barbaric cruelty and destruction to those in it’s path with little remorse” with towering sonic brutality.

Live Dates:

We’re sure once this pandemic passes, we’ll get some! The Gloom in The Corner have previously performed with The Plot In You, Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, Architects and Polaris.

Our Review:

Holy hell, this is one demonic heavy hymn. Darker and more fiery than satan’s sulphuric balls. Run and hide from this ravenous metalcore monster.
