Bring Me The Horizon Reveal Forthcoming Yungblud Collaboration

Bring Me the Horizon have revealed they’ve got something in the works with Yungblud, after the singer-songwriter tweeted at the band’s Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish last month telling them to check their inboxes.

In a new interview with MTV Rock Charts, the band have confirmed a collaboration is on its way, though were fairly tight-lipped about specifics.

“Yeah, we’ve been scheming, we’ve got something coming,” Sykes replied when asked about the tweets.

The band were pressed about whether the collaboration will be a part of the band’s forthcoming Post Human project, which will see them release four separate EPs over the course of the next year.

“Maybe, maybe not,” Sykes coyly replied.

Fish went on to explain that due to the nature of the project, there’s more scope to include special guests.

“I think we might kind of theme our guests a bit more around what’s going on with each EP,” he commented. “It’ll give us a chance to maybe get some people on who are a bit more left-filed or a bit more out of the box for our band.”

Last month, Sykes told Music Feeds all about the project, saying that each of the four releases will be completely different sound and feel.

“Each album’s going to be sonically very, very different, and there’ll be a kind of overarching theme for each record — it’ll be a different message,” Sykes commented, suggesting that each record would see the band explore extremes of their sound.

“I really want the record to feel like ‘cyber thrash metal’,” the singer explained. “To have this kind of dystopian vibe. I don’t know, it’s the way I see us being able to do this heavy music again but have it feel fresh and pushing forward, rather than just feeling like ‘old-school’.”

“I want it to have that nostalgia of, like, early noughties metal and nu-metal but at the same time, I want it to feel like something people have never heard before.”

In June, the band released latest single ‘Parasite Eve’ – listen to that below.
