Billie Eilish Thought $35 Was Standard Price For A Box Of Froot Loops, Accidentally Ordered 70 Boxes

Billie Eilish knows how to do a lot of things. She knows how to write a bloody good song, she knows how to dress in exclusively oversized designer clothing and she knows how to hold a bunch of Grammy awards at once.

However, it would so have it that the pandemic taught Eilish that she doesn’t know the value of a dollar, as she thought $35USD was the price of…a box of Froot Loops.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Eilish explained how growing up with no money, and then immediately having a lot of money the second she became an adult messed with her ability to gauge the price and value of things.

“It’s a really weird position I’m in,” she said to the publication.

“I feel kind of stupid because I’m like, I don’t know how much Froot Loops are. I tried to order one box of Froot Loops and I was like, Oh yeah, sure. It’s $35. I didn’t know that that’s expensive. I ordered 70 boxes.”

Granted, she ordered 70 mini boxes of the cereal and that does equate to around $35USD according to Billboard. But, still, $35 for a box of cereal didn’t ring any bells? None at all?

In non-cereal related news, Eilish made history over the weekend with her third consecutive top 10 appearance in triple j’s Hottest 100, with ‘Therefore I Am’ taking out the 10th spot. With the entry, she becomes the female solo artist with the most entries across Hottest 100 history.
