The Killers’ Frontman Brandon Flowers To Undergo Surgery After Bike Accident

The Killers‘ frontman Brandon Flowers will be undergoing shoulder surgery due to a recent bike accident. He revealed the news via an Instagram live interview with drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. a few days ago.

“I went over the handlebars on my bike and an injury from that has manifested itself. I have a torn labrum on that shoulder so I am going under the knife in a couple of weeks to get that taken care of.”

Noting that he already had “bad shoulders” which had caused him to undergo decompression surgery on both of his shoulders previously, Flowers said that this incident will mean he’ll have to wear a sling for six weeks.

This could slightly put a bump in the band’s plans for a short tour of the UK in May and June, but the unpredictability of the unfolding health crisis in the UK could also do the same.

Though the band only just released their latest record Imploding the Mirage in August last year, Flowers revealed in the Q&A that they are indeed working on a new record, and dropped hints about the new record’s contents, including hints of a massive “seven-minute song about a slot technician with a gambling problem. It’s good.”
