Powderfinger Are Releasing Their ‘One Night Lonely’ Reunion Livestream on Vinyl

Almost one year ago, Powderfinger reunited after a decade-long hiatus to play a one-off livestream concert, bringing a little joy amid the pandemic. The virtual event, dubbed One Night Lonely, was simultaneously viewed by over 90,000 fans, and raised over $500k in the process for Beyond Blue and Support Act.

Now, to celebrate the first anniversary of the show, the Brisbane rock legends have announced they’ll be releasing the set on silver vinyl as a hand-numbered limited edition of 2305 copies.

The deluxe LP features live versions of favourites like ‘Sunsets’, ‘My Happiness’, ‘On My Mind’, ‘These Days’ and bonus track ‘Whatever Makes You Happy’. Pre-orders for the vinyl edition are available here, and will start shipping from this Friday, 21st May.

“A lot has happened in the world since One Night Lonely and we are still in this pandemic, but hopefully, if you’ve been struggling with your mental health you’ve made the call to our mates Beyond Blue or Support Act – there’s no shame in making that call,” the band wrote on Twitter when sharing the news earlier today.

Last year, Powderfinger also released a compilation titled Unreleased (1998-2010), comprising ten previously unheard, unreleased tracks recorded between those years, including the single ‘Daybreak’.
