Having amassed a whopping 30 million streams across all platforms with their previous releases,

Sydney rock five-piece Breakaway are back with a massive new single dubbed ‘Death Valley’. Vocalist Sam Biland describes the track as an “anthem for the disenfranchised”.

“I was on a writing trip in Los Angeles and decided to take the scenic route to Vegas for some much

needed R&R,” he explains.

“I remember rolling into Death Valley, California (just before you cross the border into Nevada) at 3am and finding a run-down casino to stay at. I instantly felt a connection with it, it was a physical place that felt the same as where my head was at. The chorus instantly came into my mind almost like a dark nursery rhyme. That’s when I knew we were onto something. This is the song that will set the tone for where we are headed.”
