Client Liaison Share New Single ‘Elevator Up’, Delay Album and Cancel Tour Dates

Client Liaison have pushed back the release of their forthcoming album Divine Intervention. The record, announced back in June and originally scheduled for release early next month will now be released on Friday, 1st October.

Additionally, the band have been forced to cancel the majority of their planned Australian headline tour dates, with the exception of two Melbourne shows at the Forum on Saturday, 2nd October still scheduled to go ahead.

It’s not all grim news though. The duo have also shared a new single from the LP titled ‘Elevator Up’, a euphoric, infectiously groovy club-oriented banger that, as with previous single ‘House of Holy’, was written and recorded with Nick Littlemore of PNAU and Empire of the Sun.

“The song is for nights that don’t want to end. Always on the move, seeking a higher high but forever stuck in the party purgatory between heaven and hell,” the duo explain in an accompanying statement. The song arrives alongside a surreal, Peter Hume-directed video that sees the duo confronting the seven deadly sins while ascending to a higher plane. Check that out below.

Divine Intervention is set to arrive half a decade after the duo’s debut album Diplomatic Immunity, and has been previewed with a string of singles over the last couple of years like ‘The Real Thing’‘The Beat Supreme’‘Champagne Affection’ and ‘Intervention’.
