The Dare Announce 2024 Australian Headlining Shows

The Dare have announced their first-ever Australian shows, set to take place in December 2024. The New York-based dance-punk project of Harrison Patrick Smith will perform at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Tuesday, December 3rd and Melbourne’s Max Watt’s on Wednesday, December 4th. Both shows are on sale now, and tickets can be purchased via the official Frontier Touring website.

The announcement for The Dare’s headlining shows comes just weeks after they were announced as part of the line-up for this year’s Meredith Music Festival. Smith will perform at the festival on Saturday, December 7th and joins the likes of Jamie xx, WaxahatcheeGenesis OwusuAngie McMahon and Glass Beams on the line-up.

The Dare – ‘Perfume’

The Dare released its debut studio album, What’s Wrong With New York?, earlier this month on Friday, September 6th. It featured the project’s debut single ‘Girls’, which was originally released back in 2022, as well as singles such as last year’s ‘Good Time’, ‘Perfume’ and ‘You’re Invited’.

Away from The Dare, Smith recently found success with his production work for Charli XCX. He worked on the track ‘Guess’, which featured on the brat extended edition brat and it’s the same but there’s three more songs so it’s not. A remix of the track featuring Billie Eilish, which serves as the lead single to the remix album brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, recently topped the charts globally – including both in Charli’s native UK and on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart.
