Shinedown & Bush Announce Massive 2026 Australian Co-Headline Tour

Australia, prepare for a double hit of noughties alt-rock nostalgia.

American chart-smashers Shinedown are finally heading back Down Under for the first time in more than 15 years, teaming up with British alternative rock heavyweights Bush for a massive co-headline tour this September.

Bush – ‘Glycerine’

Yep, that means one night featuring Second Chance, Sound of Madness, Machinehead, Glycerine and a whole lot of extremely loud singalongs.

The tour will roll through Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, bringing together two bands who helped soundtrack the alt-rock and post-grunge boom of the late ’90s and early 2000s.

For Shinedown, this run marks a long-overdue Aussie return. Since forming in the early 2000s, the band have racked up a frankly ridiculous résumé, including 8.3 billion global streams, 24 #1 rock hits and platinum or gold certification across their entire album catalogue. Not bad for a band who built their name on emotionally-charged arena rock.

They’re also heading our way with new music in tow, with their eighth studio album EI8HT arriving on May 29. According to frontman Brent Smith, the record sees the band pushing themselves “like never before”, which is saying something for a group known for turning every stage they touch into a full-blown rock spectacle.

Joining them for the ride are alt-rock royalty Bush, who have been doing the loud-and-moody guitar thing since the mid-’90s and doing it extremely well. Their debut album Sixteen Stone launched a string of era-defining hits including Glycerine, Machinehead and Comedown, while frontman Gavin Rossdale remains one of the most recognisable figures in the genre.

More than three decades into their career, Bush are still going strong, recently releasing their tenth studio album I Beat Loneliness in 2025 and continuing to prove that those brooding alt-rock anthems haven’t lost their bite.

So if you’ve ever shouted the words “HEY HEY I WANNA BE A ROCKSTAR” or dramatically stared out a car window while Glycerine played in the background, consider this your sign.

Dust off the band tees. Call your mates. Get dad on the blower. And suss all the dates and ticketing details down below.
