The Amity Affliction Announce Sydney Opera House Forecourt Show

Heavy music on the steps of the Opera House? Yeah… we’re gonna need a minute.

Aussie metalcore titans The Amity Affliction have just announced their only Australian headline show to celebrate their brand new album House of Cards – and they’re doing it in seriously iconic fashion. The band will take over the Sydney Opera House Forecourt as part of the On The Steps series on Saturday 12 December 2026, marking a rare, one-night-only hometown victory lap on one of the country’s most recognisable stages.

The Amity Affliction – ‘Heaven Sent’

Fresh off the release of House of Cards, Amity aren’t here for reinvention arcs or redemption stories – this is a band fully locked into who they are, and why they’re still here. More than two decades deep, they’ve built a global following on raw honesty and emotional weight, and this new record leans all the way into that. It’s explosive, defiant, and shaped by some seriously heavy real-life experiences — from personal loss to near-breaking points – all channelled into something that hits just as hard as anything in their catalogue.

If anything, this Opera House show feels like a full-circle moment. From sweaty local venues and Warped Tour chaos to one of the most iconic stages in the world, Amity’s trajectory has always been powered by connection – the kind that turns songs about grief, addiction and survival into something communal and cathartic.

Tickets go on sale Friday 1 May at 11am, and given this is their only Aussie headline show tied to the album, you can safely assume it won’t hang around.
