Diamond Construct Announce Their First Sydney Headline Show In Almost 2 Years

After almost two years away from headline duties in the Harbour City, Diamond Construct are officially stepping back into sweaty room territory this month for what already feels like one of those “you had to be there” kind of nights.

And instead of easing back in gently? They’re doing at Bootleggers’ resident emo party, Last Words.

Diamond Construct – ‘Discarded’

Yep. The same Diamond Construct currently out there flattening bigger stages are trading production and breathing room for wall-to-wall chaos when they headline Last Words’ latest emo night special – which also doubles as part of Bootleggers’ third birthday celebrations.

If you’ve seen Diamond Construct lately, you’ll know this is not a band operating on tiny room settings anymore.

Which is exactly why this feels dangerous in the best possible way.

As the event description itself puts it: “We dug deep and pulled some serious strings to lock this in.”

“These boys are out here smashing massive stages, so getting them into a sweaty, chaotic, wall-to-wall Bootleggers is gonna be absolutely filthy, show-of-the-year energy.”

Subtle.

Joining them on the bill are Harroway – who’ve been steadily levelling up themselves after recent runs alongside Make Them Suffer and Fit For A King – while explosive locals Aurateque will kick things off.

Translation: this is one of those accidentally-stacked local bills where everyone’s pretending it’s normal.

Once bands wrap, the room flips straight into Last Words Emo Night mode, with DJs spinning everything from Bring Me The Horizon, My Chemical Romance and Paramore through to Bad Omens, Sleep Token, Alpha Wolf, Knocked Loose, Pierce The Veil and more.

Bands early. DJs late. Party all night.

Grab your tickets here and we’ll see you in the pit.
