Melbourne indie outfit Loon Lake have had a massive 12 months. They spent most of 2013 on the road, but still found time to nab the #29 spot in the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown with their single Cherry Lips, unveiled their debut album, and now they’re ready to hit the highways again.
Dubbed the Good Times tour, the band’s upcoming dates will see the five-piece playing the largest venues they’ve ever headlined in Adelaide, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, continuing the momentum generated by acclaimed performances at New Year on the Hill and Big Day Out.
In addition to these dates, Loon Lake will also join the massive lineup set for the 2014 instalment of Australia’s favourite regional festival, Groovin The Moo. Kicking off at Oakbank Racecourse this April, Loon Lake will join a lineup that features Disclosure, Dizzee Rascal, Karnivool, and more.
Loon Lake’s Good Times tour will launch at an All Ages gig at UniBar in Adelaide on Friday, 28th March, continuing on to Republic Bar in Hobart, before cruising up the East Coast to hit Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, Sydney’s famed Oxford Art Factory, and finishing off at The Zoo in Brisbane.
