Who: bou – label and design initiative.
What: bou fashion show and website launch.
When: Monday 7th May, Queen Street Studios, 10-14 Kensington St Studio 12, 6-9pm.
Why: “bou is an alternative to the increasingly reproducible, disposable and temporary nature of contemporary fashion; the label is focused on the importance of clothing to the formation of identity, memory and experience.” – Clare Veal
“It wasn’t anything I’d ever planned nor am I trained in fashion, it just snowballed, and initially it was about combating the loophole in clothing design/construction to present individual modes of expression and re-contextualise new ways of creating and viewing fashion.” – Christina Bouzios, creative director
How: Immersive, all-encompassing, sensory experience! There will be Audio visual projections of the shoots/images of bou’s last few collections, a live projection of the website and some videos of our last shoot! Simultaneously there will be sound direction (aka great tunes) by Sydney’s James Domeyko and DJ Cold Pizza. On top of projections, there will be VJ work by local Sydney artist KiMono.
