The Invisible Children Foundation have been forced to delay the release of the KONY 2012 Sequel. The follow-up to the viral hit was supposed to be released today. However, it has now been delayed until Thursday. A spokesperson for the foundation told Fox News that their producers had some editing issues when they were at the final stages of editing the film. The fact that their main man Jason Russell is still suffering from a mental breakdown probably hasn’t helped.
A lot of media has criticised Invisible Children’s decision to bring out another video, calling it cheap entertainment for the Twitter generation. However, the organisers are standing behind their decision, claiming that their only agenda is to push ahead with the ‘Cover the Night’ nationwide awareness-raising event, scheduled for April 20.
