Holy mackerel, it’s festival season! And later this month, the Bondi Short Film Festival will kick into action for the eleventh time.
Expect a mixed bag of fourteen shorts from emerging, young filmmakers, followed by a chance to wriggle your toes in the sand and down a beer on the beach.
“Our principle aim is to support and foster young independent minds by providing the opportunity to screen their vision to a discerning audience,” says Festival Director Francis Coady. “We accept a broad spectrum of films from documentaries, dramas, comedies and animations.”
There are three sessions on Saturday November 26. They’re ticketed, and the arvo session has already sold out, so make sure you grab a couple while you still can.
There aren’t heaps of outlets for new filmmakers to show to broad audiences, so get in quick!
